Your opportunity
Our marketing team activates our Westfield destinations to proactively connect with our communities and create engaging experiences for customers.
This includes designing and delivering unique events and experiences, working with community organisations, creating digital content and managing social accounts, partnering with retailers to market their brands to Westfield customers.
Reporting into the Regional Marketing Manager for NZ, your role as the Marketing Manager at Albany is to inspire and deliver exceptional customer experiences every day by engaging and connecting with customers and the community, assisting the Centre Marketing team to execute best-in-class activations and campaigns, partnering with retailers, and using insights to influence key asset decisions.
With a focus on event management, end-to-end campaign delivery, strategy and relationship management, this role is ideal for a forward thinker with a passion for what they do.
This is a full time permanent role based at Westfield Albany.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Developing the Centre’s Marketing plan and overseeing flawless execution of key marketing campaigns (including co-ordination of all stakeholders)
- Coaching, leading and developing a Marketing Executive direct report.
- Managing the centre marketing budget
- Leading centre communications/content plan across owned, earned and bought channels
- Delivering an annual Centre events program
- Leading and practicing everyday innovation and thought leadership, identifying process improvement opportunities
- Assisting retailer engagement through driving regular communication and gaining support via participation in promotional activities
- Supporting PR opportunities, especially via local media relationships
- Working effectively with agencies and external suppliers to deliver quality creative assets and services on time and on budget
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver activations and campaigns
- Actively engaging and responding to new initiatives and looking for ways to make them work
- Performing all Duty Manager requirements on a rotating weekend and evening roster with the rest of the Centre Management Leadership Team (the Duty Manager assumes responsibility for the Chief Warden during an emergency and provides leadership across the centre teams to ensure delivery of an exceptional Customer Experience and provide a safe and secure environment

- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing/Business discipline
- Hands on Marketing management experience and experience leading small teams
- A Marketing professional who is confident speaking to our Marketing plan and has experience in presenting and delivering the story
- Skills – communication, brand management, event management, customer experience/guest services, digital and social, media and PR, research and analysis, negotiating
- Understanding consumer behaviour
- Attention to detail and excellence in execution
- Can-do attitude, enthusiasm, and integrity
- Ability to adapt to a 7-day a week dynamic environment
- Someone with a passion for the retail sector
