Marketing Sponsorship And Event Intern
The Marketing Sponsorships & Events Intern is a member of the marketing team helping to secure and activate the strategic marketing plan for community and Medicare focused sponsorships and events. The intern will learn contract negotiation, relationship building, and event logistics to activate marketing sponsorships that drive consumer engagement, generate leads, increase enrollment, and improve retention. The position will provide the intern with real world experiences to be better prepared to work in the private industry.

Compensation
$26.50 hourly
  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive wages that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you’ll do
The Marketing Sponsorship & Events intern will be expected to:
  • Assist with processing, reviewing, and approving internal and external sponsorship requests.
  • Assists in communicating event logistics with sales team members, as well as other BCBSKS employees when applicable.
  • Assist with coordinating Medicare and member engagement events.
  • Assist with activating community sponsorships statewide.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you need
Education:
  • Currently enrolled student at a four-year university in an undergraduate or graduate program with an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better. If in an undergraduate program, the student will be a sophomore, junior or senior.
  • The individual's area of study must be related to business, marketing, communications, or related degree.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills (Windows operating system, e-mail, internet browsing and research).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
  • Need to be self-motivated and be able to carry out activities with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to drive company vehicle to and from events.
  • Ability to maintain confidentially of sensitive data required.
