We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and preparation, with a strong focus on meat cutting and food safety standards. This role involves slicing various cuts of meat for our BBQ restaurant. The Meat Cutter will play a vital part in maintaining the quality and safety of our products while adhering to all food handling regulations.

Duties

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer orders
• Ensure all meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored following food safety standards
• Operate knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently with precision
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment in compliance with sanitation protocols
• Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of low supplies
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed
• Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure the highest quality standards are met

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or meat cutting within the food industry or restaurant environment
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills for packaging, labeling, and inventory management
• Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not required
• Prior customer service experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
