ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated Media Manager to join our team on a 12 month maternity leave contract, to assist with Awareness/Brand and Content media planning, reporting, analysis and budget management for Australia. Based in Sydney, the ideal candidate is a passionate and organised individual with strong communication & project management skills, an eye for detail and an analytical mindset.

You will report to the Director of Awareness Media APAC and partner closely with our media agency to develop effective media plans that grow our brand awareness, consideration and engagement, meaning that effective collaboration with the Brand & Content Marketing, Influencer, PR and Analytics teams to deliver a holistic communications approach is also a crucial part of your role.

You can help deliver a step change in our media execution and work effectively with internal teams & external agencies to think big, challenge conventional thinking and drive the growth of Audible.

As the Australia Media Manager you will...
  • Support the Director of Awareness Media, APAC, to develop and execute multi-channel Awareness plans that fuel new member growth. Key channels include (but are not limited to) TV, BVOD/CTV, Out-of-Home, Premium OLV, Social, Display, Audio and Cinema
  • Demonstrate expertise in the strategic role that the Awareness media channels play in delivering to our business objectives, and high-level proficiency in the planning and buying of these channels
  • Be the primary point of contact on all executional components of our Awareness media plans, from agency briefing, managing agency response workflows and plan approvals, through to any required co-ordination between Awareness and Performance plans
  • Help drive holistic media thinking, in partnership with the Performance Team
  • Co-ordinate test & learn plans across our Awareness media investment to better understand marketing ROI
  • Foster a positive and constructive relationship with our media agency team, as well as key media partners
  • Act as the main local interface between Awareness Media and Brand & Content marketing teams to help influence creative direction, and to manage campaign creative requirements & delivery
  • Lead campaign reporting for Awareness media campaigns, and assist the broader Marketing & Media teams with recommendations on how to improve reporting processes
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and an ability to capitalise on any new opportunities
  • Play an active role in all relevant business meetings and proactively contribute where media expertise is required
  • Own competitor monitoring & reporting
  • With finance, manage the Awareness media financial process, from PO approvals to monthly budget reconciliation and management of vendor invoicing reviews, as well as any annual budget-setting requirements
  • Collaborate with performance channel managers, finance and other stakeholders in the preparation of regular reporting, as relates to media and marketing spend
  • Be the point of contact on any Australia reporting & process deliverables for the Global media team

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in a media or marketing role
  • Analytical competency, with the ability to interpret data and explain insights clearly to the required audience
  • Experience in developing innovative and effective media plans
  • Experience managing large, complex budgets
  • Experience in managing day to day media agency relationships and outputs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A keen collaborator who has a track record of influencing and driving results through persuasion
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and manage time efficiently
  • Process orientated with the ability to proactively optimise ways of working
