Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and submission of medical claims, and maintaining patient records. This role is crucial in facilitating timely payments and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify patient information and medical records for accuracy.
• Code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 coding systems.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies with insurance providers.
• Maintain organized medical billing records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with medical office staff to gather necessary documentation for billing purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
• Assist in the collection of outstanding accounts receivable as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, and medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with medical records management and medical collection processes.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using medical billing software and systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
