Job Summary
The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in managing patient appointments and ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers and patients. This position is responsible for making patient appointments, check-in, check-out and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of a front office within a medical setting.
Duties
- Answering a Multi-Line Phone System
- Check - In and Check - Out Patients
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
- Collect Copays and Balances
- Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Nextgen, to document messages
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in typing and have knowledge of medical insurances
- Strong computer skills with experience in electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff.
