Mental Health Technician

Work schedule is 6 day, 7am - 7pm or night shifts 7pm - 7am, in a 2-week period to include every other weekend.

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) provides direct care to children, adolescents and adult patients with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients. MHTs have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient’s safety on the unit.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.

Experience:

Previous healthcare experience required.

Physical requirements:

Medium Work – Exerting 20 – 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 – 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
