Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with experience in various techniques and tools. This role involves working on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, fabricating metal components according to specifications and blueprints. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate metal components accurately.
• Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding to join metal parts.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
• Perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precision in fabrication.
• Assemble fabricated parts into final products while ensuring compliance with ASME codes and standards.
• Conduct rigging operations safely when lifting heavy materials using cranes or forklifts.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding within construction or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in operating various types of welding equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with press brake and slip roll operation is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with machining processes is an asset.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
