About the role:
We are currently looking for an experienced and highly driven Key Account Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for a number of major national accounts in the Office Supply channel. This position will provide you with the opportunity to manage well established, customer relationships for these strategic customers.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales or customer management roles
- Ideally worked within office supplies industry, or with a consumer goods background
- Dynamic and results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving goals
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to switch between working hands-on to strategic
- Able to work closely cross-functionally
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated leading customer management and relationship building skills
- Ability to deliver win-win outcomes through strong negotiation skills and a passion for winning
- Proven strategic planning and analytical abilities throughout your career
- Display integrity through exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Cohesively manage forecasting and budgets through transparency with senior management
- Professionally streamlined project management skills and problem solving
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Execution
- Develop and execute customer and channel strategies and initiatives to achieve business objectives
- Analyse market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decision making
- Accurately provide the business with forecasts on channel and customer portfolio
- Work closely with Category Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Planning and Customer Service to ensure cohesive and integrated efforts
- Effectively communicate plans, progress, and results to senior management
Operational Excellence
- Effectively manage risk and progress of customer business plans
- Create a regular forum for sharing customer and market insights within the business
- Drive accountability throughout the sales and operations planning process
- Execute with excellence, all new products develop innovations and brand strategies in collaboration with the category strategy & planning and marketing teams
- Determine optimum assortment of new product development to launch into portfolio, and inform opportunity assessments to internal teams
- Facilitate channel and customer strategy development in collaboration with category strategy & planning
- Monthly review of financial performance to ensure targets are met through effective teamwork
- Understand commercial opportunities to drive impact of financial performances for the business
- Identify strategies to drive efficiencies and reduce costs for the business
- Effectively seek both market and customer opportunities to help drive the growth of the business
- Partner with internal teams including Category Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Planning and Customer Service, to ensure cohesive and integrated efforts are acheived.
