Overview

APPS Transport Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator (Entry-Level) to join our Freight Solutions team in Oakville, Ontario. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the department, supporting administrative functions, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and trace active shipments daily and update system records
  • Proactively communicate shipment status updates to customers
  • Collect Proofs of Delivery (PODs) from carriers within KPI timelines
  • Support Account Operators with quoting, booking, dispatching, and overflow tasks
  • Assist during peak periods and provide vacation coverage
  • Support administrative functions including file preparation, invoicing support, and billing handoff
  • Perform other operational support duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Entry-level role; logistics experience is an asset but not required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., TruckMate) is an asset
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the logistics industry
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused

Career Development

This role is designed to progress into a full Account Operator position based on performance and development.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$47,500.00 per year
