Operations Executive

Purpose of the Role

The Operations Executive will have a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of services to passengers. Their responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations at Galway Coach Station, managing a team of Passenger Assistants, and ensuring that all procedures related to passenger services are followed smoothly.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

  • You will oversee and deliver the highest standards in all areas of operations.
  • Supervise and manage the Passenger Assistant team in Galway Coach Station, ensuring appropriate support and direction is provided.
  • Focus on the needs of passengers and constantly drive improvements to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure quality and service delivery standards are achieved.
  • Be able to handle and manage your day and know how to display motivating and encouraging behaviours.
  • Monitor service delivery standards and take appropriate actions to ensure service delivery standards are met and exceeded
  • Organising sporting teams transfers.
  • Monitor capacity and service levels to ensure customer demand is met.
  • Monitoring of the external environment, to anticipate and respond to service disruptions, liaising with external sub-contractors, CX Team and Marketing Department (external communications) to manage disruptions and minimise effect of customers. For example, road closures, diversions, route, and mechanical issues.
  • Maintaining online and on-bus sales channels ensuring fares and routes are optimised.
  • Work collaboratively and consult with other departments.
  • Undertake training in line with own personal development needs and business requirements
  • On-call rota.
