About the role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our services on the water by taking ownership of the day-to-day movement of our vessels and crew.


This will see you think out of the box, pulling from your operational knowledge and problem-solving skills to keep the Hauraki Gulf moving no matter the situation at hand.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the daily movements of vessels and crew
  • Adjusting daily schedules for unplanned crew absences, changes in vessel movements
  • Maintaining crucial communications with internal stakeholders throughout the day
  • Ensuring any delays in services are mitigated and managed accordingly
  • Collecting data, analyse and to update systems as required

About you

To hit the ground running you’ll hold at least two years coordination experience with working knowledge of dispatch, coordination and logistics. Additionally, you’ll have a logical approach to solving problems and be able to remain calm under pressure.


As you’ll be interacting with a variety of stakeholders, excellent verbal communication skills are a must. Maritime/public transport experience is a bonus, but not essential.


About the hours of work

We operate 7 days per week 365 days of the year hence this is a rostered role which will see you work over weekends, public holidays and night shifts.


Rotating roster with two consecutive days off each week (flexible to change if needed)


Mondays to Saturdays:
5am - 3pm or 2pm - midnight

Sundays and public holidays:
6am - 4pm OR 2pm - midnight
