The practice is a fast-paced, multiple optometrist office located in a busy retail setting. This team member must be professional in attitude and appearance with the willingness to be part of a team in a medical/commercial setting. Computer skills are required and experience with OfficeMate software is a plus.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Accurately recording medical history
• Insurance verification and explanation
• Assisting the optometrist
• Prescription lens verification with a lensometer
• Troubleshooting vision problems
• Performing visual tests with a variety of procedures and equipment
• Quoting prices
• Billing out medical procedures
• Communicating to patients via email and telephone
• Ordering lenses accurately through several portals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
