Job Overview
TK Ranch is a small family-owned business focusing on animal welfare, environmental stewardship and quality (tkranch.com). We employ a small number of staff that work closely in a team focused friendly environment to prepare high quality meat products. We require a Packaging Associate with a progressive and positive attitude to assist with our business.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction of the Sausage Kitchen lead;
• Identify finished meat cuts and inspect them to ensure they meet quality standards;
• Place products into bags and vacuum package them;
• Apply batch code labels and follow traceability procedures;
• Use a retail scale to weigh and apply identifier labels;
• Sort and place products onto tray towers or into boxes or bins;
• Be organized to meet or exceed weekly production requirements;
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace;
• Observe health and safety regulations;
• Work cooperatively with other employees;
• Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently;
• Other duties as required.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Six months packaging experience an asset;
• Attention to detail;
• Strong organization & time management skills;
• Able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
• Dependability & accountability a must;
• Physically fit, must be able to lift 50 lbs;
• Willing to work in cold environments;
• Must be able to commute to job site 20 minutes east of Calgary.
