About the role
Location: Winnipeg
Status: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Position Summary:
Reporting to the Packaging and Sanitation Supervisor, our ideal candidates is a self-starter who takes
initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and
can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
in a full-scale production environment
- Responsible for general housekeeping of packaging area: Clean equipment and maintain cleanliness in work area
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Weigh, record, and move waste product to the destruction cage in accordance with outlined SOP’s
- Report any issues to shift lead or supervisor
- Cleaning and maintenance of processing and packaging equipment
- Optimize production and packaging related SOP’s
- Minimize daily product waste, such as consumables, labels, pouches, gummies, etc.
- Utilize a proactive approach as it relates to daily operation, maintenance, adjustments, cleaning, and
planning for success
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong sense of work quality and safety
- Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks
- Capable of working both independently and on a team
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
would be considered an asset
- Previous packaging experience would be considered an asset
- Keen eye for detail, basic math skills required
- Ability to meeting physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing and
performing repetitive work
