Powder Line Washer Technician will maintain the washer stages of our powder coating line. This role includes performing preventative maintenance (PMs), routine clean-outs, and ensuring optimal washer operation. The ideal candidate will also support production by assisting with rework, operating a brake press, and filling in for other roles as needed. A strong sense of independence, attention to detail, and willingness to work weekends are essential.
Essential Functions
Required but not limited to:
- Operate and maintain the washer stages of the powder coating line, including temperature monitoring, chemical checks, and filtration.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on washer tanks and related equipment.
- Conduct weekly and weekend clean-outs of washer tanks, including draining, cleaning, and refilling as needed.
- Assist with and perform oven clean out tasks.
- Perform dip line washer stages and monitoring.
- Fill in on brake press and other production machinery when required.
- Assist with rework tasks within the department, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Accurately document maintenance activities and report equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, complying with safety and environmental regulations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and proactively identify areas for improvement or maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors.
- Required to obtain a confined space and LOTO training certificate.
Work Environment
- Subjected to hot temperatures.
- May be subject to loud working environment.
- Exposure to powder paint.
- Exposure to washer chemicals and process by-products.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Measuring and Mathematical Skills
o Accurately add, subtracts, multiplies, and divides.
o Accurately measures chemicals, pH, etc., and adjusts as needed.
2. Language Skills (Speaking and Writing)
o Effectively communicates with coworkers and supervisors.
o Writes clearly and legibly.

o Applies common sense when following written and oral instructions.
o Reads, interprets, and acts on written instruction.
o Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
4. Physical Requirements and Manual Dexterity
o Constant standing throughout shift, with occasional walking.
o Frequent bending, pushing, lifting, and/or carrying throughout shift.
o May lift up to 40 pounds on an intermittent basis.
o Effective use of appropriate basic hand and power tools.
o Near and distance visual acuity to inspect parts and operate machinery safely.
