-Part Time Bus Driver-

M.S.A.D. 41 is seeking a responsible and reliable Part-Time School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school, as well as to and from extracurricular events and activities as needed. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, comfort, and punctuality of all passengers while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a school bus on scheduled morning and afternoon routes.
• Transport students to and from designated pickup and drop-off locations in a timely manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain order and discipline on the bus while promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Follow all traffic laws, district policies, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records related to mileage, routes, and student ridership.
• Drive for field trips, sporting events, and other school-approved extracurricular activities as assigned.

Schedule:

• Morning Route
• Afternoon Route
• Extra Activities: Variable schedule based on school events; may include occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications:

• Valid Maine Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle is preferred, but not required.
• Strong commitment to student safety and well-being.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Valid State of Maine criminal history record check (CHRC)
