Position Summary:

Halenda’s Fine Foods Limited is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and physically capable Part-Time Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across our meat processing facility. This role is essential to upholding our Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification and meeting the standards outlined in our Current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manual.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and SQF standards.

· Perform regular cleaning and sanitation tasks including:

o Sweeping, mopping, and spraying floors and walls

o Cleaning production and packaging areas, including ceilings, walls, stairs, and floors

o Replenishing hygiene and sanitation supplies

· Operate specialized cleaning equipment such as the Machine

· Handle and properly store chemical cleaners and sanitation supplies in compliance with health and safety protocols

· Clean smokehouses and other high-use equipment and areas specific to meat processing

· Complete and update cleaning logs accurately and promptly once tasks are completed

· Proactively monitor and review cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner

· Follow all safety guidelines including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

· Execute additional cleaning or maintenance projects as requested by the Cleaning Supervisor or Facilities Manager

Requirements:

· Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.

· Must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods in a cold or environment

· Good working knowledge of English – ability to read, write, and understand instructions and labels

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills

· Must be a dependable team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

· Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is an asset

· Must be flexible and available to work part-time shifts, including early mornings or weekends, as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
