Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
• Conduct routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
• Handle trash removal and recycling processes efficiently across all designated areas
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, fixtures, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting larger repairs needed to facilities management
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly stored and maintained for optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), window washing, and general sanitation practices
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently within scheduled hours
• Reliable attendance record with a positive attitude toward teamwork and facility upkeep
