Tenei turanga - About the Role:

The Personal Assistant / Team Administrator reports directly to the Manager, System Performance and Implementation who is based in Christchurch.

The position supports teams and people in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland offices.

We are looking for a superstar Personal Assistant / Team Administrator to provide support to the Manager, our people leaders and teams.

We are seeking a self-starter that is experienced with strong administrative and coordination skills.

You'll be responsible for things like diary management, monitoring of shared mailboxes, preparation of documentation, arranging travel, arranging workshops, meetings and minutes and processing contracts, invoices and accruals.

Skills and Experience Required

  • ; Sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • ; Is comfortable working independently without needing constant direction
  • ; A proactive attitude and passion for getting things done
  • ; Able to quickly pivot between tasks, use your initiative and prioritise effectively
  • ; Experience in providing personal and administrative support to managers and teams
  • ; Ability to build strong relationships with others in order to work effectively in a team environment
  • ; Willingness to work in a flexible and dynamic environment
  • ; Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment
  • ; Experience working in the public sector or councils would also be an advantage
  • ; Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.

About the System Performance and Implementation team

The System Performance and Implementation team provides expertise, insights and knowledge to support the effective operation of the building regulatory system and to deliver high quality implementation of policy changes.

The team has a number of regulatory functions and responsibilities, including:
  • ; leading the branch stakeholder engagement frameworks and approach
  • ; leading the improvement of performance monitoring of building regulatory system outcomes
  • ; leading the improvement of internal processes, particularly allocation and tracking processes for building levy expenditure
  • ; driving cross system governance and regulatory partnerships for the building system
  • ; providing programme management and planning support and capability to priority work programmes
  • ; leading the design and implementation of new changes to the building regulatory system, including leading the development of implementation material required to successfully implement new policy change.
