Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for our Outpatient Detox office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. If you have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using software such as Kipu EMR, Microsoft office, google workspace and google sheets
-Following up with clients to remind them of their appointments or to alert client's of their missed appointments.
-Performing Breathalyzers and UA's for daily clients attending the program
- Complete Intake forms with new clients and assisting them with signing all consents and insurance paperwork
- Maintain patient records to ensure demographic information is kept up to date as necessary
- Provide administrative support to the medical & clinical team. Assisting the Executive Director with operational tasks within the office.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Assist with managing inventory of office supplies and ordering as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in Behavioral Health or medical office preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative procedures
- Proficiency in using EMR software systems such as Kipu, Salesforce, lightening
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols (e.g., CPR) is a plus
