Patient Food Services Care Assistant

As a Patient Food Service Care Assistant within our team here at University Hospital Galway, you will be helping us to deliver our catering services to those requiring the hospital's facilities. This is a very rewarding position for the right candidate, delivering meals and a positive and engaging service to patients. Our interactions contribute hugely to the experience of those using the hospital services, and we aim to improve each service user's day through our interactions.

This job offers €13.62 per hour (rising to €14.76 after the first year) and full-time hours.

You must have:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced catering business
• Strong background in hospitality or catering is preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene, including HACCP preferred
• A problem-solving mind and solutions-orientated approach with a flexible can-do attitude
• Garda Vetting is a requirement for this role
