We are currently looking for an experienced automotive Payroll Administrator/Accounting Assistant.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Under the supervision of the Controller, responsible to champion the payroll and administrative functions, and assist the department with accounting deliverables
- Prepare and process payroll timely; ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
- Process new employees in the system, transfers, terminations, leaves of absence
- Performing general accounting functions (cheques, A/R, A/P)
- Analyze, reconcile accounts for the monthly and annual closing; identify, correct payroll and accounting inaccuracies and imbalances
- Reconcile, submit all government, warranty and insurance remittances
- Handle ad hoc reporting requests
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years of Payroll and Accounting experience within a retail automotive dealership with a thorough knowledge of payroll and accounting practices & procedures
- University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance and/or Payroll
- PCP preferred or in progress
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll is an asset
- Working knowledge of ERA and/or CDK is an asset
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and analytical skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and ability to multitask
