About the opportunity:

Our Payroll Services Department are currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Executive to join our team on a 12-month Fixed Term contract . This position is based in our Cork office and will report directly to the Senior Payroll Manager. The role offers a full-time, hybrid work arrangement (with 2 days per week in the office) and comprises of 37.5 hours per week.

As a Payroll Executive, you can expect your duties to include;

  • Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly private and public sector client payrolls in an accurate and timely manner
  • Includes processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, pay rate changes, allowance and deductions changes, administering third party deductions such as pension, Social Welfare and health insurance.
  • Addressing client payroll queries clearly and efficiently, maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Interacting with ROS in relation to Revenue Payroll Notifications, Payroll Submissions, Statements of Account, Enhanced Reporting Requirements, Agent Links, Tax Registrations, etc.
  • Calculating and tracking BIK’s, Annual Leave, Public Holiday and Statutory entitlements for employees.
  • Producing manual net and net-to-gross calculations as required by clients
  • Reviewing, applying and updating training processes relating to all aspects of the payroll bureau.
  • Working directly with the Payroll team and Partner on project assignments as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Certified Payroll Technician (IPASS) or Diploma in Payroll Management
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience processing Irish payroll
  • Experience using Sage MicroPay and/or MegaPay systems would be advantageous
  • Public sector payroll experience would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required
