Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll function for our Ireland operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with Irish payroll legislation, and support continuous improvement within payroll processes and systems.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across finance, HR, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle for employees and contractors across Ireland
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, wages, overtime, allowances, and deductions
- Maintain compliance with Irish payroll legislation, Revenue requirements, and employment regulations
- Manage PAYE, PRSI, USC, pension contributions, and other statutory deductions
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation as required
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll data accuracy and alignment
- Handle payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor and improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiencies
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times
- Liaise with external auditors, Revenue authorities, and third-party providers when necessary
- Support month-end and year-end finance processes related to payroll
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in Ireland
- Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation, PAYE modernization, PRSI, USC, and pension administration
- Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience within healthcare staffing, recruitment, or high-volume payroll environments is an advantage
