About the role

0.6 FTE ongoing contract – flexible to fit your lifestyle.

The People and Culture Officer plays a key role in providing high-level administrative support and coordinating core processes across the People, Safety and Culture (PSC) team. This position works collaboratively within a passionate and committed team to deliver quality support that contributes to a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. Additionally, the role supports the administration of diversity and inclusion initiatives, including metrics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain records and bookings for EGW properties
Monitor PSC budgets
Manage the Flare Benefits platform and agreement
Administer service milestone recognition
Prepare newsletter content and maintain PSC intranet pages
Support Gender Impact Assessments and monitor GEAP and EDI initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote diversity and inclusion practices
Coordinate accommodation and venue bookings
Maintain awareness of the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic) and relevant legislative developments
Analyse and interpret data to inform inclusive practices
Assist with PSC reporting and HRIS audits
Collect and report statistical data as required
Provide administrative support and backup across PSC functions, including: Organisational change, Recruitment & onboarding, L&D, Reward & Recognition, Employee Consultative Committee, HW&S programs.
Represent East Gippsland Water on external networks as required
Ensure HR records are maintained securely and confidentially

  • This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 3 position, ($72,912.23 - $94,710.54 per annum)
  • Plus 12% employer superannuation contribution. We reserve the right to remunerate successful candidates within the span of this classification dependant on demonstrated skills, experience and qualifications.
  • Shortlisted applicants may be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and National Police Check.
Skills and Experiences:
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of the principles of Human Resources and passion for providing a high level of services to internal and external customers.
Excellent administrative skills with a sound understanding and experience in the use of the Microsoft office suite.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve outcomes.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Experience in dealing with sensitive information and maintaining strict confidentiality.
A positive attitude towards personal development including being accountable, innovative, passionate and united to achieve corporate objectives.
