The Personal Support Worker shall provide personal care and other services to residents in safe efficient manner, according to the policies and procedures of the retirement residence.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Providing personal care for seniors in a retirement residence setting; inclusive of bathing, assisting with dressing, changing soiled clothing, blood pressure checks, dispensing medications, administering insulin and various duties as required;
• Provides services and interacts with guests and family members in a professional manners;
• Assists and attends to special needs of the residents as required;
• Interested in interacting with residents while ensuring their well-being;
• Capable of completing necessary documentation in a timely manner;
• Acts as a team member, communicating information and backing up colleagues;
• Maintains work and storage areas in clean, safe and sanitary manner;
• Operates and sanitize equipment, furniture and cleans and maintains all areas related to residents as per work routines;
• Provides medications according to the home’s policies and procedures for medications administration;
• Other duties common in a PSW role.
