We are currently recruiting Personal Support workers to join our growing team, providing superior care and services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare settings, assisted living and private home care.

Personal Support Worker responsibilities:

• Must possess Personal Support Worker Certificate;
• Experience in long-term care or retirement homes;
• Must love working with a frail and elderly population;
• A caring and empathetic attitude is crucial;
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
• Demonstrated organizational and time management;
• Willing to lead and support all team members;

Personal Support Worker requirements:

• Must have a clear Vulnerable Sector Search within the past 6 months
• Must have a clear Criminal Background Check within the past 6 months
• Must be available to pick up scheduled or last-minute shifts
• Must be able to commit to weekend work
• Provides for nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care and within the scope of practice of an PSW;
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, the PSW will ensure the delivery of excellent personal care in the assigned home area(s);
• Helps develop and adhere to the individualized plan of care to meet residents’ assessed needs;
• Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records all care and services delivered;
• Demonstrates a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care;
• Follows all corporate policies and procedures; contributes to the development of site-specific nursing policies as indicated;
• Acts as leader and support on the unit to ensure PSWs and all other allied health professionals are supported.
