Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Kulangarapeedika / Mankavu, Calicut, Kerala
Job Type: Full-time
Athena Medical Center, Calicut, is hiring a Pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations and support patient care. Responsibilities include dispensing medicines accurately as per prescriptions, counseling patients on dosage and usage, maintaining medicine stock and expiry records, ensuring proper storage and cleanliness, and coordinating with doctors and nursing staff. Applicants should hold a D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration and around 1 year of experience (candidates with sufficient knowledge and confidence to handle pharmacy responsibilities may also apply; 1 year experience is not compulsory). Attention to detail, basic computer or billing knowledge, and a patient-friendly approach are required.
Salary will be based on the candidate’s knowledge and previous experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as per the doctor’s prescription
- Counsel patients on dosage, usage, and precautions
- Maintain proper stock, storage, and expiry records
- Ensure pharmacy cleanliness and compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for patient care
- Maintain billing and basic pharmacy documentation
Requirements
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm qualification
- Valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration
- Knowledge of generic and branded medicines
- Basic computer and billing knowledge preferred
- Honest, detail-oriented, and patient-friendly approach
