A minimum of one - year Full time Pharmacy experience is required.
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Assistant plays an important role in the quality and safety of our medications. They assist in the preparation, packaging and organization of medications, as well as deliveries, which requires an exceptional attention to detail. Their support to the Pharmacists and Technicians is essential to maintaining our quality standards.
Your Day to Day:
· Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all prescription information prior to filling
· Preparing prescriptions to be filled via dispensary software (KROLL)
· Accurate Processing, adjudicating, dispensing, and filling prescriptions
· Preparing compounds, creams, liquids, etc.
· Customer service, including answering phones and managing pick-up at the cash station
· Participation in all daily pharmacy activities
· Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
· Attending to general inquires from patients both in store and on telephone
· Communication with other health care professionals
· Perform cashier responsibilities as required
· Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
· Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards
Qualifications include:
· Previous experience as a Pharmacy assistant is required
· Experience with Kroll is a definite asset
· Positive, cooperative and team-oriented attitude
· Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
· Strong communication skills
· Willingness to learn new skills and be flexible to work all shifts within our hours of operation, which includes weekends
· Proficient computer/data entry skills
· Professional demeanor and courteous

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
