Your Mission:
As a PHP Backend Developer, you will own and improve a core part of Limepacks backend software operations. By developing and maintaining internal infrastructure, you ensure that sales, fulfillment, finance, and design teams can work more independently & efficiently, ultimately enabling the business to scale faster and run better.
Your responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining backend infrastructure, services, integrations, and automations that increase scalability.
- Partnering with colleagues across teams to understand pain points and translate them into clear technical requirements.
- Empowering teamleads to get safe access to our data and infrastructure for them to develop independent niche solutions on top.
- Owning projects end-to-end, from scoping and development to testing, deployment, and iteration.
- Improving internal systems for performance, scalability, and accessibility.
- Creating user-friendly workflows for non-technical users.
Requirements
If This is You, You Are the One We Are Looking For:
- You think ahead and enjoy connecting the dots across systems and processes – making sure every solution fits into the bigger picture.
- When you commit to something, you follow through. Others can rely on you because you take ownership and don’t leave things unfinished.
- You notice the details that others might overlook, and you turn inefficiencies into structured, well-functioning solutions.
- You get energy from fixing challenges – whether small bugs or complex inefficiencies – and you keep going until things work smoothly.
- You’re good at keeping an overview, prioritizing tasks and problems, and focusing on what matters most – so you always make progress where it has the biggest impact.
- You work systematically and methodically – respecting deadlines, ensuring quality, and building solutions that last.
- You love working towards clear goals, and once you've reached one, you're already motivated to go for the next.
Your Experience:
- You bring experience as an independent developer or in a role with full ownership of backend and internal tooling or infrastructure.
- You have a proven track record of developing and maintaining infrastructure handling 100K+ customers and the data complexity that comes with it, reporting, segmentation, integrations and operational workflows.
- You've built and managed integrations across multiple business functions, such as CRM, ERP, finance systems, and fulfillment platforms.
- You are strong in backend development, with PHP as a core skill you’re confident in applying to real business challenges.
- You’re comfortable working fully autonomously – from gathering requirements to deployment – and thrive without heavy project management.
- You have consistently demonstrated the ability to spot problems, propose technical solutions, and deliver measurable results with minimal supervision.
Your Toolbox Includes:
- Backend: PHP (Bonus: Symfony, PrestaShop)
- Basic frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Databases: SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Infrastructure: GIT, Ubuntu (Bonus: S3)
