Physical Implementation Engineer For Digital Backend

About the job

It is an exciting time to join Nordic Semiconductor as we continue our journey while having high aspirations together with enthusiastic colleagues worldwide. The Power Management IC business unit's Digital Group is looking to recruit a talented digital backend engineer to do physical implementation of our mixed-signal devices. You'll be working in close co-operation with the other physical design engineers at Nordic, running either logic synthesis and timing closure steps, Design-For-Test or the actual digital layout tasks.

Key responsibilities (depending on your experience also part of these could apply)

  • Running synthesis for IP and chip level
  • Doing timing analysis and timing corrections for layout iterations
  • Running static checking tools
  • Inserting test structures and generating test vectors
  • Running physical implementation tools

Key Qualifications and skills

  • BSc/MSc in Electronics Engineering or similar
  • Experience or academic knowledge of relevant EDA IC design and physical verification tools
  • Experience with synthesis, timing analysis, logic equivalence check, low power static check, DFT and/or physical implementation tools
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like TCL, Perl, Python or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
