We have several additional vacancies for Power Supply Repair Technicians to join our growing team working on the bench in the workshop/Lab reverse Engineering & repairing faulty equipment. The Equipment you will be working on includes a brad range of Power Supplies (SMP's) and Power Inverters and various other Electronic Devices. This is component level work requiring a logical mindset (to become a competent debugger) and good hand dexterity (to develop strong rework skills).

The role involves:

  • Diagnosing and Repairing on the bench Faulty Industrial Electronic Equipment to component level.
  • Identifying through iterative debug the root cause components related to the fault.
  • Detailing appropriate corrective actions required including identifying suitable replacement parts.
  • Soldering, reworking and replacement all necessary components.
  • Updating the in house tracking system to outline the steps all technical activity.

The ideal candidate should have Skills & Experience in some of the following:

  • Have a natural talent for repairing electronic equipment to component level.
  • Have a keen interest and some experience working on the bench repairing electronics at full component level.
  • Qualified to Vocational level in an Electronic/Electrical Engineering discipline and have several years practical experience.
  • Have an interest in Power supplies (SMP's), & AC Drives/Inverters.
  • Have the ability to develop competent expertise in high quality rework/repair (to IPC standard) skill on all PTH and SMT devices.
  • Be comfortable and interested in working with power equipment.
  • Fluent/advanced written and spoken English.
  • Be capable of Commuting daily to the repair centre.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Glasnevin, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Repairing Power Supplies at Component Level: 1 year (preferred)
  • Reworking Electronic Components to IPC standards: 1 year (preferred)
  • working with Single & 3 Phase power: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • Conversational level of Written and Oral english (preferred)
