About the role

Storytel is looking for an ambitious PR and Events Professional to lead our local communication efforts specifically in Finland and Estonia. Working closely with the Country Manager, local Commercial team and central teams, your primary mission will be to solidify Storytel's reputation as the leading local audiobook brand and maximize subscriber growth in terms of acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Your role will be important in translating our global brand and local content into compelling stories that resonate deeply with consumers and stakeholders across these two markets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies for Finland and Estonia, including PR, events, influencer marketing, and key title launches, ensuring stories resonate across different audiences.

• Managing the full lifecycle of local events, from budgeting and planning to execution, for major happenings, like the Storytel Awards and the Helsinki Book Fair, using local event partners and agencies.




• Planning and writing impactful communication (press releases, influencer briefs etc.) in Finnish and building strong, lasting relationships with media, influencers, publishers, and authors.

• Developing the influencer marketing strategy and planning activations for both markets according to wider marketing and brand communication strategies.

• Working closely with internal stakeholders to prepare for interviews and speaking opportunities and reporting on the results of all communication activities.

About the team

• You will be part of the local Finnish commercial team, focusing on driving the Storytel streaming business in Finland and Estonia and you’ll report to the Country Manager.

• You will be supported by your engaged colleagues in Marketing, Content, Publishing, Support and many more. You will work closely with your colleagues in similar roles across the markets and with the global Head of Brand Communications.

About You

To be successful in this role, we believe that you are someone who:

• Is excellent at writing and speaking English and Finnish, Estonian is a plus, but not a requirement.

• Excels at communicating and coordinating, as well as at stakeholder management.

• Is experienced in building communication strategies and plans, crisis communication, experience in working with listed companies is a plus.

• Possess excellent project management skills and experience with creating and following budgets.

• Is experienced in working with influencers both in strategic and practical manner.

• Is well versed in social media, preferably with experience of executing social first, holistic PR/marketing initiatives.

• Applies a data-driven approach and can translate insights into clear actions.

• Is collaborative and team-oriented, thriving in environments where teamwork is key.

• Has a curious side and is not afraid to experiment and try out new things.
