A well-established 2-partner GP Practice in Dunboyne, Co. Meath is seeking an experienced, people-focused Practice Manager to lead the non-clinical, operational and business management of the practice.

This is a senior leadership role within a busy and well-regarded practice, with responsibility for supporting the long-term financial sustainability and effective operation of the practice, while working closely with the GP partners and an established nursing and administrative team.

The Role

The Practice Manager will have overall responsibility for the business, financial, operational and non-clinical management of the practice, enabling the GPs to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

This role combines people leadership, operational oversight and business management, and will suit someone who is comfortable taking ownership of how the practice runs day to day and how it performs as a business.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operational and business management of the practice
• Leadership and management of nursing and administrative staff
• Oversight of practice finances, budgets and income streams
• Supporting financial sustainability and identifying opportunities to maximise income appropriately
• Monitoring expenditure and supporting effective financial planning with the GP partners
• Oversight of systems, workflows and non-clinical processes
• Staff rostering and resource planning
• Acting as a key liaison between staff and GP partners
• Ensuring efficient, compliant and well-organised practice operations

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience managing people in a small team environment (essential)
• Experience managing or overseeing budgets, income or business operations
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
• A calm, confident and approachable management style
• Experience in a healthcare or GP practice setting is desirable but not essential
• Comfortable balancing people leadership with financial and operational responsibility
