Principal Accountabilities:
- Review all data in entire BOM & responsible to source materials / components per MPN, Manufacturer, Description & Drawings.
- Prepare quote package & monitor RFQ through process & documenting all concerns, discrepancies & issues for new / bidding project related.
- Manage all supplier in a manner consistent with the highest professional, ethical, moral & legal standards
- To plan, source & develop new potential suppliers at the competitive price, quality & lead time.
- Managing& coordinate supplier selection and qualification & conducting Supplier Audit Program (SAP) together Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE).
- Manage supplier performance, consolidate & maintain all suppliers performance & indicators. Prepare Supplier Quarterly Performance Assessment (SQPA) report.
- Manage system data entry, ASL setup; Issue PO; Update promised date into system and ensure update accurate and timely.
- Maintain product price list, approved suppliers master list & Contract Agreements
- Embark on cost reduction activities & participate in regular cost-saving program
- Coordinate interaction between the section in the Material department & all other department.
- Supporting the organization by driving early supplier involvement, meeting bill of material cost targets via should cost analysis and sourcing timelines
- Liaising with existing supplier / vendor on material pull in / push out; negotiating prices, payment term and delivery (lead time); send out Open Order Report (OOR) by weekly basis and ensure promised date update timely in system.
- Coordinate and monitor shipment activities, including delivery schedules, logistics arrangements, and tracking of inbound materials to ensure timely arrival in line with project timelines.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risk.
- Team player, adaptive to organizational change and flexible in embracing changes
- To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standard approved by Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
- Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- 0–2 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support (manufacturing/engineering environment is an advantage).
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision, work under pressure and propensity to meet timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is essential.
- Advantageous to have experience in using ERP software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
