Job Overview
As a Produce Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and freshness of our produce section. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, assisting customers, and ensuring that our produce displays are attractive and well-stocked. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and conducting regular inventory control checks.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to load and unload products.
- Assist in stocking shelves with fresh produce, ensuring proper rotation to maintain quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their selections.
- Maintain cleanliness in the produce area, including cleaning displays and removing any damaged items.
- Support shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when handling large shipments of produce.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in grocery or retail settings.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and retail math is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Experience with cashiering or retail sales is beneficial for customer interactions.
- Knowledge of proper maintenance practices for produce handling is an advantage.
- Must be capable of performing heavy lifting as needed throughout the shift.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
