MRCOOL® is seeking a highly experienced Product & Quality Control Manager to join our Product R&D Department. This pivotal role bridges the gap between engineering, manufacturing, and customer satisfaction. You will lead the execution of medium-to-large scale projects, ensuring every MRCOOL® solution meets our rigorous standards for quality, safety, and performance.
Core Responsibilities
● Factory Liaison & Escalation: Serve as a primary point of contact for international factories, managing project escalations and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships—including necessary after-hours communication to align with global production schedules.
● Strategic Project Planning: Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Quality departments to define comprehensive project scopes, schedules, and risk management plans.
● Team Leadership & Execution: Direct project teams by defining clear guidelines, allocating tasks, and motivating resources to hit critical milestones across multiple product lines.
● Performance Accountability: Ensure all technical, safety, quality, and financial targets are
achieved while maintaining compliance with contractual agreements.
● Lifecycle Monitoring: Oversee every stage of implementation, applying best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, and risk mitigation.
● Continuous Improvement: Partner with Technical and Warranty departments to translate field feedback into actionable quality improvements at the factory level.
● Process Auditing: Conduct regular process audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
● Certification Oversight: Drive the end-to-end certification process for all product lines, ensuring full compliance with AHRI, ETL, and ENERGY STAR® standards.
● Documentation Authority: Manage and maintain all regulatory applications and technical documentation across multiple product categories to ensure seamless market entry and compliance.
● Complete annual reporting on sales data & product information for AHRI & Tax credit purposes.
● Product QMID Management for tax purposes.
Required Qualifications
● Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required , with a preference for 8 years in Project Management and 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management is highly preferred. (Equivalent experience + PMP certification may be considered in lieu of a degree) .
● Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Project Management software, MS Excel, and Google Suite.
● Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, risk, and complex schedules simultaneously.
● Industry Knowledge: Experience in the energy sector or HVAC manufacturing is a significant plus.
● Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
