Join our team at DS Smith Crumlin and play a key role in delivering high-quality products! We’re looking for motivated Production Operatives to support our operations. At DS Smith, employee safety and quality manufacturing are cornerstones of our identity. As a member of our Production team, you’ll join an operation that is relentlessly committed to safety, efficiency, and product integrity. You’ll be involved in the creation of world class products for customers, navigating challenges and discovering new ways of working along the way.

The shift pattern o this role is 11:30am to 10pm Mon - Thursday. This role is available on a temp to perm basis. Please apply if you are immediately / readily available and interested in building a career with DS Smith.

About the role

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader and following their direction as required
Setting up and running of machines, adhering to company processes at all times
Ensuring the quality of product produced is to company standards
Taking pride in the operation and upkeep of own designated machine
Helping the team to achieve productivity goals and being part of improvement initiatives
Conducting weekly and monthly machine maintenance as per maintenance schedules
Maintaining highest possible standard of housekeeping
Adhering to UK Health and Safety at all times and encouraging others to do the same

About you
Minimum requirements:

Safety-first mindset.
Self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Team player with a quality-focused approach.
Flexible and open to multi-skilled working and constructive challenge.

Preferred experience:

Background in corrugated board manufacturing (ideal but not essential).
Previous experience in production or machine operation.
Basic numeracy skills for inventory tasks.
FLT Licence for Counterbalance (desirable).
