Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our construction management team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project execution, maintaining seamless communication among stakeholders, and managing project schedules. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and construction industry experience to contribute to a variety of projects from initial planning through completion. The role requires experience with construction management software, project scheduling, and blueprint reading, as well as a solid understanding of construction site operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is essential.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities across multiple teams to ensure timely achievement of milestones
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to support accurate project execution
- Assist with cost estimation using construction estimating tools
- Track project progress, communicate updates, and notify stakeholders of schedule changes
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Manage contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure compliance with specifications
- Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor safety and quality standards
- Prepare reports on project status, risks, and issues for management review
- Utilize effective time management strategies to ensure all deadlines are met
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field; construction site experience is preferred
- Proficiency with project management and construction management tools
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Familiarity with contracts, construction estimating, and project scheduling practices
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and site operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
