Project Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist reports to the DNNP Project Quality Assurance Director.

Location - Mississauga, Pickering - ON

Your role within the team:

  • Prepare Project QA Plan addressing project QA and contract requirements, and the applicable standards, codes and customer requirements.
  • Review Project engineering documents to ensure QA requirements are adequately identified and applicable procedures are followed.
  • Define and document new project processes when required by the contract and contribute to process improvement when process gaps in existing procedures are identified.
  • Participate in audits and self-assessments assigned
  • Identify conditions adverse to quality and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide direct support to get the Non-Conformances and Corrective Actions addressed.
  • Maintain regular reporting on quality key performance indicators.
  • Liaise effectively with project groups to ensure that QA program is effectively implemented and any request for clarifications are addressed.

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Engineering or Science with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the development and maintenance of quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of QA standards applicable to design, procurement, and construction for nuclear power plants such as: CSA N286-12; CSA N285.0, CSA N286.7, ASME Section III, Article NCA-4000/NCA 3800/NCA 3300; ISO 9001: 2015; CSA N299-2016 series of standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with Project technical scope.
  • Self-motivated with strong team participation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to allow unambiguous explanation of quality requirements and processes.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and execute the assigned tasks.
