Introduction:
About the Role
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives? We’re seeking a dedicated psychologist to join our Child, Youth and Family Services Team at Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) in a part-time capacity. Our team provides a wide range of services including Medicare and private support, as well as cognitive, autism, and ADHD assessments.
While we primarily operate as a fee-for-service clinic, we also receive funding at times to support specific populations across the ACT region—giving you the opportunity to contribute to impactful community initiatives and support those in need.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing counselling and assessments to children, adolescents, and adults referred both externally and internally to CRCS.
Provide assessments and reports for conditions including Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cognitive Assessments, and Mental Health Assessments.
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to client needs.
Apply trauma-informed principles in all aspects of clinical practice and professional interactions.
Demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills to assess, formulate, and implement effective treatment plans.
Manage a clinical caseload, including client notes management, client communication, liaison with referrers, and preparation of reports and documentation.
Contribute to program planning, research, evaluation activities, and data analysis to support service improvement and outcomes measurement.
Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, referrers, and key stakeholders to support collaborative service delivery.
About You
We’d love to hear from professionals who bring warmth, experience, and a commitment to inclusive care. If you have clinical experience working with children, young people, families, culturally diverse communities, and LGBTQIA+ individuals, you’ll feel right at home here.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
Registered to practice as a psychologist in Australia with AHPRA
Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
Experience in assessments (especially autism and ADHD) or telehealth services
Current Driver’s Licence and access to a registered, comprehensively insured motor vehicle for work related purposes.
A collaborative mindset and a positive approach to team culture

We are a supportive and inclusive workplace with excellent conditions, including:
Discounted early education and care program services
15 days personal leave (pro rata) and 17.5% annual leave loading
Access to salary packaging up to $15,900 (increase your take home pay!)
