Our company is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join our Logistics team at HMFT. As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing our procurement process, ensuring on-time delivery of goods, resolving vendor issues, and providing administrative support for purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders.
  • Input order acknowledgments received from vendors into our system (Netsuite).
  • Resolve vendor issues or disputes in a professional and timely manner.
  • Expedite open purchase orders to meet our customers' requirements.
  • Communicate any relevant issues to the sales/purchasing manager as necessary.
  • Efficiently perform administrative duties related to purchasing.
  • Oversee any shipping/receiving issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing and inventory management.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with strategic suppliers/partners.
  • Familiarity with laws, ordinances, and regulations governing corporate purchasing practices.
  • Proficiency in TEAMS, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle pressure situations with composure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong team player with effective collaboration skills.
