Overview
Join our team as a Purchasing Clerk, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will drive the efficient sourcing and purchasing of products essential to our operations. In this vital role, you will coordinate procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of goods to support inventory management and overall supply chain success. Your proactive approach will help streamline processes, optimize costs, and contribute to the seamless flow of products across our organization.
Responsibilities
- Tracks and confirms order status, deliveries, and backorders; resolve discrepancies or delays with vendors.
- Review invoices, packing slips, and receipts for accuracy before submitting to Accounts Payable for payment.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts that align with company goals.
- Communicate regularly with Sales and Warehouse teams to support inventory availability and customer fulfillment needs.
- Track order status from placement through delivery, resolving any issues that may arise during transit or processing.
- Support production planning and merchandising efforts by providing accurate procurement data and inventory reports.
- Maintain detailed records of purchase transactions, supplier communications, and contract documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers or alternative products to improve cost efficiency and supply chain resilience.
- Assist with evaluating vendor performance and recommending improvements when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Team oriented attitude with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Schedule
Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
