Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement process within our organization. This position involves assisting with the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and supplies necessary for operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management. The Purchasing Assistant will collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.

Duties

• Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with teams to understand material needs and ensure alignment with schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Conduct regular audits of purchase orders and procurement processes to identify areas for improvement.

Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing is preferred but not a requirement.
• Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective vendor management.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the procurement process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
