Job description:

With a customer driven focus, Novatek Welding and Fabrication is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to provide ongoing support to our team and customer base.

This position requires a professional, dynamic person whose primary responsibility will be to provide tactical support through day to day quality control activities, support documentation and quality program needs, grow and develop with us as we find better ways to execute on our strategy and most critically help to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements, Experience and Skills

• Background with inspection and manufacturing operations is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required (both written & verbal).
• Knowledgeable of various inspections techniques Knowledge of and experience with N299, and ISO 9001.
• Familiar with the use of ITP (Inspection Test Plans).

Minimum of 3 years' Q.A. field experience in a Fabrication and/or nuclear environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine work pieces to determine conformance with specifications and welding, forming and machining requirements.
• Provide support when needed to help team members interpret specifications and blueprints
• Perform visual, dimensional, Fit-checks and weld inspections using various inspection tools
• Maintain inspection and calibration records.
• Ensure compliance with code standards and requirements (i.e CSA N299, and ISO 9001)
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Participate in company/internal audits
• Review a daily schedule as it relates to incoming/outgoing inspection flow and plan the day accordingly
• Prepare outbound shipments to customers on skids and/ or packages, as may be required
• Other as may be determined necessary

• Blueprint reading: 3 years (required)
• manufacturing: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift License (preferred)
