Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Interior Fit-Out

Role Summary

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering support, budgeting, vendor rate analysis, billing certification, and cost control for commercial interior fit-out projects. The role ensures projects are executed within approved budgets while maintaining quality and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Estimation & Cost Planning

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Develop BOQs for interior fit-out works (civil, carpentry, finishes, MEP coordination items)
• Prepare project cost estimates and budgets
• Analyze drawings and flag missing details affecting cost
• Prepare rate analysis for non-BOQ items and variations

2. Tendering & Procurement Support

• Float RFQs to vendors and subcontractors
• Compare vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements
• Support purchase and contracts team in finalizing rates
• Assist in techno-commercial evaluation of bids
• Coordinate with design and project teams for scope clarity

3. Billing & Commercial Management

• Prepare client RA bills and final bills
• Verify subcontractor and vendor bills with site measurements
• Conduct joint measurements with client/PMC/site team
• Track certified vs submitted vs received payments
• Maintain billing trackers and cost reports

4. Variation & Change Order Management

• Identify variation items from revised drawings and site instructions
• Prepare variation BOQs and cost impact statements
• Submit and negotiate change order claims with clients
• Maintain variation register

5. Cost Control & Monitoring

• Monitor project cost vs budget vs actual
• Track material consumption vs BOQ quantities
• Identify cost overruns and suggest corrective actions
• Support value engineering exercises

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain BOQ revisions and quantity records
• Prepare commercial MIS reports
• Maintain measurement sheets and backup records
• Support contract documentation and commercial correspondence

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials and specifications
• BOQ preparation and quantity take-off expertise
• Rate analysis and cost benchmarking
• Billing and measurement skills
• Vendor rate comparison and negotiation support
• Good understanding of drawings (Architectural & Interior)
• Proficiency in Excel and estimation software
• Attention to detail and commercial awareness

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying
• 3–8 years experience in commercial interior fit-out projects
• Experience handling corporate office / retail / commercial projects
• Familiar with tendering and billing processes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹70,000.00 per month
