The Reception Supervisor, is a dedicated and experienced professional who leads and oversees daily reception operations in a dynamic hostel environment. As well as carrying out the traditional duties of a receptionist, this leader plays a key role in the efficient management of the team and the continuous improvement of the services provided.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities (in this role you will)
Lead the team in greeting and assisting guests during check-in and check-out, ensuring exceptional service.
Cultivate a positive service culture and friendly interactions with both guests and staff.
Oversee the response to guest enquiries and requests through various communication channels, maintaining high standards of service.
Ensure readiness to answer phone and WhatsApp calls, providing effective information and assistance.
Proactively manage guest bookings and reservations, optimising the efficiency of the process.
Monitoring availability and ensuring an equitable distribution of bookings, adjusting as necessary.
Ensure that the reception workspace is always organised and tidy to reflect a professional and welcoming environment.
Implementing effective document management practices and administrative procedures.
Supervise and support the team in administrative and clerical tasks, providing guidance when necessary.

Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner, taking into account guests' needs and operational objectives.
Ability to lead and motivate the reception team to achieve targets and provide excellent customer service.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude even under high pressure.
Ability to learn and manage systems.

Experience / Education (You are/have)
A bachelor's degree in Tourism or Hotel Management is a plus, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Candidates with equivalent work experience or relevant certifications will also be considered.
At least 1 year of experience working as a hotel receptionist or customer service role.
Advanced English & Spanish.
