Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and other preventive care measures.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
• Provide support for orthodontic treatments, including adjustments and patient education on aligners or braces.
• Communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding of treatment plans and oral health instructions.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing patient flow efficiently.

Experience

• Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification.
• Proven experience working in a busy dental office environment with a focus on patient care.
• Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures enhances your ability to serve diverse patient needs.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Experience working with medical terminology relevant to dental care is advantageous.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, helping us serve our diverse community more effectively.
