Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality care to patients, assessing their needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Carry out nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in electronic health records and medical software
- BLS and ACLS certifications
